Gail Whitt

Gail Whitt, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, moved to Kentucky to attend Eastern Kentucky University, where she earned a degree in Corrections. She began her professional career with the Kentucky Corrections Cabinet, gaining experience in both prison and community service settings.

In 1987, Gail was recruited by the Fayette Commonwealth’s Attorney to lead its Victim Assistance Program as Director. Over the next 15 years, she helped establish the program as Kentucky’s first comprehensive prosecutor-based victim assistance initiative, which became a model for prosecutors statewide.

After her tenure as Director, she transitioned to the role of Office Manager, a position she held until 2021. She now contributes her expertise and institutional knowledge as an Executive Administrative Assistant to the Fayette Commonwealth’s Attorney.
